I have a long term project, Ghost Town, which is a series of poems about little known aspects of Fremantle’s social history. The title poem ‘Ghost Town’ is published in Indigo, Journal of Creative Writing, Volume 1. As a third generation Freo resident, I have a lot of these stories up my sleeve. But I am also keen to chat with any other long-term locals with a story to share.

Fremantle Streets on a rainswept night
Lover by my side
I’m here on south terrace wondrin’ where I might be
alright?
And a girl in a hotel flicks on her light
gazes outside at the night’s confusion
…..sidewalk cafes
… in a haze
dreaming ..
